I can’t see the whole activity on my screen

There may be a problem trying to move forward and backward within an activity, when trying to find the” Next” and “Back” button’s, which are located in the bottom right hand corner of each activity.

If you are unable to see these buttons, it may be because your computer monitor viewing capabilities are set at a small resolution, thus not providing a full screen view of the website content.

To rectify this situation, you will need to change the settings within your “Display Properties” (as in the below image)

To change the screen resolution:

Windows Users
Right click on your desktop and select ‘Properties’

You will then see a dialog box that has the tab ‘Settings

Increase the settings of your ‘Screen Area’ by clicking the bar pointer to the right to at least "800 by 600 pixels"

Click on ‘Apply
If you are happy with the settings, then click ‘OK

Macintosh Users
For OS/X Mac Users

Click on the Apple Icon
Select System Preferences…
Select the Displays Icon
In the list of Resolutions : select 800 x 600 (or higher).
Close the Display window

For Older Mac Users:

Click on the Apple Icon
Select Control Panels and then select Monitors and Sound …

Select Monitor and select the Resolution of 832 x 624 (or higher)

Close the Monitors & Sound window

I cannot hear any sounds from the activities.

Windows Users
This is a problem, which could be with your computer or speakers. Such issues could cause it:
  • Your speakers aren’t plugged in to the back of the computer properly (Check your connection)
  • Your volume (on the bottom right hand side of the screen), could be muted or very low

Macintosh Users

  • Click on the Sound Volume Icon
  • There will be a volume slider, click on the bar
  • If you want higher volume, slide the bar higher
  • Likewise, if you want lower, slide the bar lower
  • When you let go of the bar, there will be a beep to confirm the volume level

How do I make sure the activity is marked as complete?
Please note that once you have completed the questions within the activity, the last page indicates that if you wish to gain QACPD points, you need to click on the link 'Mark this activity as complete'.  This will then register that you have completed that activity and your points will be sent electronically to the QACPD Unit to add to your Credit Points Statement.

To check if you have enrolled or completed the activity, it is suggested that you:

  • On the left hand side of your screen, click on the 'my progress' link
  • Look at the 'Status' of the activity to see if you have 'enrolled' or 'completed'.
  • If you are 'enrolled', click on 'launch activity'
  • Go to the last page of the activity, then
  • Click on the link 'Mark this activity as complete'  (this will then exit you out of the activity)
  • To check if the activity is marked as 'complete', click on the 'my progress' link and look at the 'Status'

Trouble re-enrolling in an activity?

This may be an issue once you have gone through the activity and want to start the activity again from the beginning, you must mark the activity as complete. This is done on the last page of the activity; there will be a link saying, “Mark this activity as complete”. This link needs to be clicked to complete the activity.

If the activity isn't marked as complete, every instance of launching the activity within "My Progress" will always return the user to the uncompleted activity.
